Connaught Drains are specialists in Hot & Ambient Cure CIPP Relining in the West of Ireland.
We repair existing pipelines using a cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), which is a trenchless rehabilitation method. CIPP is a jointless, seamless, pipe-within-a-pipe. It has the capability to rehabilitate pipes ranging in diameter from 0.1 to 2.8 meters (4–110 inches). It is one of the most widely used rehabilitation methods. CIPP has application in water, sewer, gas, and chemical pipelines.
A number of things can damage sewer and rainwater pipes and they become unfit for purpose. In some cases this causes damage to the environment. Replacing the pipe could involve digging trenches and cause a lot of inconvenience and expense. Instead, Connaught Drains can reline the pipe.
Connaught Drains have successfully repaired pipes using UV Pipe Lining, with minimum disruption or excavations, for many industrial clients with great results.
Hot & Ambient Cure CIPP Relining Service overview:
- We install a pipe liner within an existing damaged pipe with a GRP (glass reinforced plastic) type of material. When cured, this is actually stronger than original pipe it lines.
- The new pipe material is fed into the existing pipe from one opening. When cured, it fits tight to the wall of the original pipe. Therefore creating a tough, strong and durable lining. This dramatically increasing the life span of the pipe.
- Because the lining is cut to fit the pipe diameter prior to installation, the loss of cross section is as low as 5% in some cases. Thus the integrity of the original flow capacity is not compromised.
